Celebrities love Christine Moore Hats!

Jennifer Lopez graces the pages of Vanity Fair Sept 2011 Issue looking great in an all white suite and a breath-taking Christine Moore fasinator. While not usually a fan of the matchy-matchy look, this is incredibly chic!!

Hats off to Leighton Meister (aka Blaire Waldorf) from Gossip Girl for her use of Christine A. Moore Millinery.  She proves hats are a fashion category, suitable for both fair ladies and those with good temperaments alike!

Supermodel Niki Taylor in Christine A Moore Millinery at the Kentucky Derby, where the most important style statment is what’s on top of your head!!

Worn by Katy Perry in the October 2011 InStyle, this custom made fascinator headband was tweaked from its original design by Christine Moore herself into something a little sleeker and avant-garde looking. Christine A. Moore Millinery, whether beach hats, city hats, event hats or Kentucky Derby hats, are the top-notch hats to wear!

Light as a…Fetherston!

June! I can hardly wait for June! Not only will my baby girl be arriving, but a new line is coming to Soho and I am so excited about it!

I knew from the moment I walked into the perfectly simple but elegant showroom of Erin Fetherston in NYC that this was going to be a great match. Erin’s designs are whimsically feminine, perfectly cool and simply light and airy. They have just the right amount of embellishment and detail to make them stand out in a crowd, yet maintain a sophisticated mien.

Erin was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area and attended Parsons Paris to study design. Ever since her debut during the Paris haute couture shows in 2005, Erin has been earning the brand a devoted following of press & celebs.

Fetherston is also known for her multi- media projects, creating short films and photographic works in tandem with famed photographer Ellen Von Unwerth featuring Kirsten Dunst, Zooey Deschanel and Karen Elson. Among her honors, Fetherston was a recipient of the 2007 Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation Award, a finalist for the 2007 CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund, and in 2009 was inducted as a member of the CFDA. In April of 2010, Fetherston was named as guest designer and creative consultant for irreverent lifestyle brand Juicy Couture.

When I read a recent article on “a day in her life” I was not at all surprised to find out her day started at 7:45am and didn’t end until she started to decompress at 11:00pm at night!!  You cannot get this close to perfection in an average 8 hour workday!

You can get to know Erin a little better through this great video of her showing off her own personal closet. FABULOUS!!! I love this!

Welcome to Soho, Erin!!! We can’t wait til your arrival in June!

A New Shoe In Town

We are so excited to introduce our latest designer, Loeffler Randall! I first fell in love with the brand at Barneys in NYC two years ago and it has been a love affair ever since. The shoes are chic, versatile and comfortable; exactly what every fashionista needs in her closet.

Designer and founder, Jessie Randall, was looking for a shoe that was luxurious, well-made and feminine, and most importantly affordable. With those ideals in mind, Loeffler Randall was founded in the fall of 2005 filling a niche in the shoe market that consumers were craving. Their flat boot Matilde quickly became a staple in the wardrobes of designers and celebrities alike.

Now you can see for yourself how amazing these shoes are! Check out some of the looks you can soon find at Soho:

Randall recently has been all over the press. From Vogue to Matchbook Magazine, she has been receiving high praise for her “wearable heels” (who would want heels any other way?) and dreamy collection of wedges.

Best & Worst of the Golden Globes

I love watching the awards shows and the Golden Globes is no exception! Of course, I don’t typically watch for the actual awards, but rather the fashion – of course. Every year I become completely mesmerized by the amazing fashion eye candy – and the not-so-fabulous duds.

Here are my picks from this year’s Golden Globes for the best and worst dressed. Be sure to leave a comment letting me know what you think of these and if you would have put anyone different on the list.

THE BEST

Emma Stone in Lanvin. I just love this girl and this dress!! She looks stunning. Only a true fashionista can rock a Lanvin Dress and an “Eagle Belt”!! This pretty lady knows what she is doing!!

Sophia Vergara in Vera Wang. Could this woman be any sexier?? I love that she wore navy blue! She knows her body and wears things that suit her. This is a woman you cannot take your eyes off! She also seems like a woman you would like to share a pizza and glass of wine with. Definitely my kind of girl!

Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace. This is the “new” Old Hollywood to me. She looks like a movie star!! The dress is simple, structured pale and has a burst of color! She adds a red lip – how very French of her! Not many people could pull this off, but she nails it!!

Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji. This woman looks amazing!! The color – the neckline – the ruching – AND did you see those earrings!! She was simply gorgeous. :) Congratulations Octavia!!

Heidi Klum in Calvin Klein. P-E-R-F-E-C-T-I-O-N. Are you kidding me?!?! It just doesn’t get any better then this. What I wouldn’t do to be able to pull off this look.

THE WORST

Piper Perabo in Theyskens’ Theory. This woman chases down criminals in Loubuitans on that terrible show of hers (that I watch!!!) and THIS is what she wears on the red carpet?? Someone needs to arrest HER for wearing this dress. This is definitely not one of her best looks. :(

Michelle Williams in Jason Wu. I expect more from this smart, beautiful woman!! She won the Globe for her portrayal of one of the most feminine and sexy women in our history and this is what she wears?! Crushed velvet and a headband. I think Mr. Wu  may have been out to lunch the day he dressed Michelle!

Lea Michele in Marchesa. Lea…don’t you know that Halle Berry is the only one that can pull off this look – and she did it 10 years ago!  You CAN leave some things to the imagination. And not to mention, this dress is flat out dangerous. One quick turn and Ms. Michele could have joined the likes of Ms. Jackson in another “nipple-gate” scandal.

Amanda Peet in Marc Jacobs. She must have forgotten about the Globes and rushed from an audition for a remake of Little House on the Prarie. That is the only thing that can explain this ill-fitting, unflattering disaster!

Julie Bowen in Reem Acra. Someone needs to “Reem” out Julie’s stylist! This is just not a good look for Julie. She is gorgeous and obviously spends time to stay fit. This dress – this hair – this a “modern” mistake! She can definatley do better than this!!
